Ander Mirambell

Today, I want to talk about Ander Mirambell for two reasons.

First, because Ander is the first Spanish skeleton pilot who went to the Olympic Games, and the third sportsman of the FEDH( Federación Española de Deportes de Hielo).

In his first competition of the O.G. Ander finished as the 24th out of 28 participants.

To get that result Ander has to work a lot for a long time. As well he does not win any money, on the contrary for his participation in the Olympic Games, he had to pay everything himself: to get slopes for training, to have his sled built and to travel...

And second, because I enjoy talking about a famous "friend" who plays with me in my football team. I do not know him very well, because I am new in the team this year, but I had the opportunity to meet him for two weeks, and we were talking about his dream.

When he told my his dream of going to the O.G. I thought that it was impossible that a man of his appearence could go to the games. As well he commented us the economic subject and in the moment when he said us that he had to pay I thought that he was crazy!

But after that, when he returns from his competitions I will congratulate him.

Ways of communications.

There are a lot of different ways of communication, but today I'm going to talk about the two most important for young people and which have been fashionable for the last three years or so.
They are: messenger and facebook.

Messenger is a kind of chat that you can use to talk with your friends, and people that you know. At the moment, it's one of those things most used by teenagers to talk with people, but as well to meet new people. The conversation is written but directly like a live conversation, you can even talk face to face if you have a videocamera.

On the contrary facebook, is not so much a chat, but it is a place where people exchange ideas, coments, photos, etc and actually I don't know anybody, except mothers and old people, who don't have one account.

Personally I prefer messenger because it is a form to talk more directly and not so distanced as in facebook. As well messenger has more privacy than facebook, because the information of messenger is more restricted, and you don't have the possibility to offer too many things as in facebook, where there exist a lot of images and anybody can look at your account.

Cigarette ends...

The National Institute of Technology has found that Italians throw away 195 million cigarette ends every day. The butts contain toxics waste that comes up to 300 bilions tons a year.

This news item is very worrying because people start smoking earlier and their number is increasing. The Spanish politicians intend to stop people from smoking in public places, the new law starting on the first of January 2010, but in reallity it hasn't started yet.

When I go out to the pubs, discos, bars a lot of people still smoke and of course they throw the butts into the streets. That means that I can die inhalling smoke, or because of the toxics waste.

All that without being smoker, and this also for a lot of people who don't smoke.

Broken bones...

Do you know, what? Today I went to the hospital in Figueres for the revision of my arm, that I broke last month. I had bad luck, and the Doctor didn't take off my plaster. I was pissed off by this situation because it wasn't the first time that this happened.

Then, when I was about to go, something really funny happened. I was talking with my mother about how many times I had already broken my bones, and none of us remembered, when suddenly the Doctor gave me all my X-rays.

When we went out, we counted the X-rays and now I think that it was normal I didn't remember how many there were, because we counted eleven in the last ten years.

Imagine, that means, I broke a bone minimum once a year. Because of that I was worried and I asked the Doctor about it, but he said that it was only bad luck.

The bone that was broken most often, is the "radi", approximately in 80% of the situations, next the big toe, and the last and the most "spectacular" was the "clavicula" when I was 6 years old, and it was then when everything started.

Material girls.

Material girls is a comedy about two sisters, that have all they want. But one day they lose everything that they have. Then they start a new period in their lives.

In my opinion this film is very funny, because to see two fashion girls in "bad" conditions is a very strange thing. Moreover, I think that the film has a didactic aspect, which is to talk about the bad attitude that the rich people towards the normal people.
The attitude I`ve mentioned before, you can see every day in real life. Because of that I think that the film is a good example for the people that can't see this attitude and so for reflexion.

Because of all of this, I recommend that the people who want to spend a good time, go and see the film.

Christmas Holidays!!!

Finally, today it's the first day of the Christmas holidays. I don't have to wake up early, go to school, study for exams, etc. Today I can do all I want.

At first, now it is one o'clock and I've just got up. When I'll have finished breakfast I'm going to prepare my agenda, to enjoy these days at the maximum.

I have to put in the time of work, the most important meals, and the days when I'm going out skiing with my family.

Later I'm going with my mother to do the Christmas shopping, and the presents for the family. This year I don't know what I want for Christmas, but it's not important because my parents buy what they want, and if I don't like it I'll change it.

The question that is one of the most important things of Christmas is, that, when we grew up we lost the illusion of Santa Claus or the three kings. And this is a shame.

But when we grew up, we discovered new things about Christmas, like the illusion to teach to other people this magic, the big parties that exist......

Because of this and because of a lot of other dfferent things, these days are ones of the most beautiful of the year.
