Final reflection

We have finished our english classes, and I have to evaluate my improvement.

Yesterday I was looking at my blog and I was very happy about it.I think that I have improved so much, the principal evidence is that I can correct my own mistakes, and, from my point of wiew, this is a really important thing.
On one hand I make less mistakes, but on the other hand I'm I'm still doing different mistakes that I can't correct yet.

My small but important improvement is related to the your-says, because in this activities I had to write a lot. Moreover, when I was writting about my things I could express a lot of personals opinions.
I'm a boy who hasn't a gift for lenguages, and neither for write.
Because of that, I think that the activity which is most usefull to boost my English it is the your-says.

Secondly, I want to express my opinion about some activities which I not find usefull, or, which I find bored.
The exercice that I hate most is the podcast. About the podcast I think the opposite of my classmate: They think that the podcast are the best form to learn english because you practise your vocabulary and your accent. But for me, It is not a good activity because I don't like talk in English in public because I have a bad accent, and because of that the podcast is very uncomfortable to doing.

About the songs which we have done in class during the year I have to say that they are so nice and they help me to learn a lot. I prested a lot of atention and I improved my oral English. Because of that, on the last test of the course I've got right all oral questions.


As a result of that I would recommend to you that the next year you will organize a lot of songs as could be possible, because they're funny.


At the end the only thing which I want to say is: it was a good experience to work with a demanding teacher because at the opposite that I thought at the beggining of the course I have learnt so much.

We have almost learnt to respect our world. Do you agree?

In Spain the major part of the population doesn’t respect their country, as you can see in the streets. In my opinión, unlike in others countries such as England, France, etc we don’t have enough environmental conscience, because of that, I think that we haven't learnt to respect our world yet.

First of all, I think that one of the reasons is the education which our children receive at school, where there are a lot of children who break a lot of things, waste schoolar’s material, etc and the teachers don’t say anything. This point is a key factor to learn to respect our world, and it is important to learn that as soon as posible. Intending to change the behaviour of the population is an impossible thing, but teaching our children is possible.

Secondly, this section is related to the first, because another Fac., which we don’t put into action but that I think could be good to respect our world consists in changing the law. With this form the people who don’t respect the country could be fined: like in France where if the police see you throw away a chewing gum, they can fine you.

To sum up, I would say that we haven't learnt to respect our world yet, because in Spain there is no environmental conscience, but if we start with simple things, as I said befote, we could achieve something.

I’m deciding my future – now!

Now is the time to decide my future, and luckily it is in my own hands. However, to get what I want I have to work a lot, because of that I’ve decided that the two LAST months of the course I need to study a lot to get the marks I need for the carreer I WANT. To achieve that I will have to cancel the last football match of the year, on the 6th of June. If not I won’t have enough time to study and without that to obtain my goals.
For the same reason, today, 30th of May, ten o’ clock at night, I am writing this post to elevate my English mark, as you know, and I have to do it now, because I’ve spend all day in a football match.

I suppose that today it would have been best not to go to the match, but I have a commitment with the other football players and I couldn’t leave them on the day when we were playing the derby between Sant Peter vs Armentera, because it was a very special match.

I hope that this won’t affect my future because this week I have four final exams in Spanish, Chemistry, Philosophy and Physics.

If I don’t get the mark I want, I don’t know what I will do in the future, because a lot of things I would want to do depend on going to Barcelona or not.

In conclusion, I hope that I will work out well, but I know that I will have to study a lot, because, different from other people, nobody gives me anything for free.

LO QUE NO VES!!

As you know, these posts are voluntary and because of that, I would like to talk about something that is not boring, because I am at the end of the course and I am very tired.

LO QUE NO VES is a song by Pol, an artist that I’ve come across recently when I was watching this season’s Los Hombres De Paco and as I liked it so much, I decided to download it.

The singer, Pol, is a simple boy from Madrid, who is always seen with his guitar, and he has performed in many of Madrid’s bars, where he sings alone or with his band. This “role” of singing in different bars in Madrid is the same “role” that he had in the serie LHDP - something I found very curious and funny.
The song talks about a boy who one day decided of break up his relationship, because things had started to go bad, but then one day, he met her again and decided to make a new start, forgetting the last relation, because as he says in the song the past is only like a bad day.

Then she teaches him, that the second part can be good,too and that the things that you don’t see, you can’t love. This part of the song, which appears a lot of times, is the main message of the song as you can see in the titol.



I’ve put the video of the song here, and I hope that you will listen to it. If you can’t do it right now because you have a lot of work to do I understand, but it’ll take only five minutes and I think you’ll like it.

Spiderman( film).

First of all, I have to say that I didn't watch this film in the language room, because I prefer doing mails, blogs, repeating things, etc.
I’m saying that because I think this films isn't in the class list, so maybe you’ll think it is strange reading my comments about it.

The film talks about a simple boy who one day is bitten by a spider. From that moment on he aquires magic powers, and he is stronger, he can throw spider webs and he takes the opportunity to protect people.

For me this films is a classic and I consider it one of the best films in the world, because when I was a child I grew up with spiderman series and watching a film that brings together all of the chapters was incredible.

Moreover, the main actor is a monster, a king, because at first sight it is a simple, ordinary boy, but when acts he does an excellent work.
Anyway the girl, Robin, in some editions is an excellent partner for Peter, the spider boy, because she is a pretty woman, who only plays a secondary role, but the moment she appears she gives the film a special turn.

As you know, the film tells about the adventures of spiderman, a lot of things that happen, fights, rescues etc. This argument is very attractive to young people, especially to children, things that have converted this film in one of the most rentables of the world and it is the symbol of the Marvel Comics Company.

Because of that I can only say that if you have never seen Spiderman, go and watch it.

WORLD CUP

The World Cup is the trophy which the champion of all the countries of the world wins. The World Cup is a very special and prestigious trophy because you have the opportunity to win it only one time every four years.

You are asking, why I am talking about the World Cup, and the answer is very easy. Because in two weeks Spain will participate in it,which is very usual, but this time, "the red" is one of the favourites and it is the present champion of Europe. Because of that, this is the first time in a lot of years that we, the football fans of Spain, have a lot of illusion, and we hope to win the tournament.

To give the objectives, we have to be very prudent and humble, and later if we are a little lucky we could win the World Cup.

As you know, this event is important to the world of football, but to the country in general too, because independent of where we live, Catalonia, Madrid, etc all the people will be supporting the national team.

To try to win the cup, we have to beat well-known, powerful teams as Brasil, England, France, the Portugal of Cristiano Ronaldo, etc.

But we have a lot of good football players like Iker Casillas, Xavi, Piqué, D.Villa, Fernando Torres....





At the end the only thing I can say is: EVERYONE GO FOR "THE RED"!

Dear Kieron,

Thanks for your letter. I’m happy to hear that you’re well. You were asking me which kind of place Castelló is. I recommend, as I’ve told you before, for a perfect holidays, Castelló is an ideal town.

Castelló is the typical town where there is a relaxed atmosphere to forget the problems, and where you can go to the beach.
At night, you soon meet people, because there is an area where you can spend excellent moments, sing, dance...

The town is in a rural area, with a lot of agriculture, but there is a commercial area, too. In Castelló, as I`ve said before, you can go to the beach, or if you want, you have the opportunity to go skydiving, see historical monuments, etc.
Anyway, you can go to Barcelona too, which is a magnific place to see a lot of important things like: the Sagrada Familia, El Camp Nou, El Parc Güell.

One more thing-if you come here, you’ll need a swimsuit, and the most important thing, the illusion. Anyway, let me know what you’re going to do.

“LOS HOMBRES DE PACO” (LHDP)

Los Hombres de Paco is a TV series of Antena 3, which has been successful for six years. It’s reproduced one time a week for aproximately 8 months a year at ten o’clock pm.
The argument consist of a group of policemen who have to preserve the peace in San Antonio, a small town in Madrid. Usually the serie talks about mini-episodes that finish in a big case.
Throughout the story a lot of famous actors like Mario Casas, Michelle Jenner, Hugo Silva, Paco Tous, etc have appeared always with the collaboration of excellent second actors like David Almeda, Javi Torres, etc who have helped to build an incredíble serie.

Now it is coming to an end, next Wednesday will be the last episode of the series where we will discover Paco Miranda’s final, the principal actor. Nowadays LHDP is about the demon but it is a particular caracteristic of this years, because the others seasons were about comedia.
The change that I have just mentioned produces a lot of conflicts between the spectators of the serie, who critize the unusual change, who say that some people can’t watch the series anymore because they are frightened - a thing that I can understand, because there are a lot of connections between God and demons.

In conclusión, I consider Los Hombres de Paco as a fantastic series, and I recommend it to you if you want to spend a good time.

How to prepare an exam:

An exam is a test of knowledge which puts to the tests what you have learnt about a certain topic.
I am talking about this because we are at the end of the course, and soon the period of exams is starting.
Because of that I’m going to explain how I prepare my exams:

First of all, some days before the exam I read the material again that I have done in class to know what I will have to study.
Later, if I have enough time I try to do a summary or scheme to emphasize the most important things.
Once I have finished that I start to study until I memorize the material.

But if I don’t have enough time, I try to memorize only the most important things because if I can’t learn all of the content, at least it’s good to know the basic things.

And if the exams are of numbers I try to prepare the test doing excersises that I have done in class because I already have the corrections.

Fashion victims...

Fashion victims are people who always follow the latest tendencies and fashion.
As soon as fashion changes they have to spend a lot of money on clothes, hairstyles, accessories etc.
They copy the famous and glamorous people from TV and magazines and they try to do or look the same as them.
In my opinión it is not a negative concept but until a certain limit. For example I believe it is good that they want to “improve” their image but I think it is very sad if the people change their personality or spend a lot of money for this purpose because they could lose their own identity.

Personally I think that I am not a fashion victim because I am not all day thinking about these kind of things, buying clothes, etc.
Looking at my style of clothes and hair I consider myself pretty normal and not like one of the dressmen of the magazines.
Perhaps the people who do these things are the people who are not happy with themselves, and because of that they want to be like someone famous.

Sufre Mamon!

Sufre Mamon is a song of David Summers, the singer of Hombres G. The autor of the song has to succed a lot of years ago, when I was not born, in the 70's. In those days he composed a special song, Sufre Mamon, which caused a revolution for a lot of young people because he was one of the singers who has start singed rock spanish. The succesfull of the song cause that the productors have done a film.

As you can imagine, the topic of the song and film, talks about a couple who breack off his relationship, when the girl go out with another boy, then David Summers the main caracter try to regain his girl, and decides to compose a song.
The songs critizies the new "boyfriend of his love" and use words like powder's pica pica as in the fils put in boy's jacket when he is singer.

In conclusion the film is one of my favourites because when I listen the song I get goosebumps and I feel a special sensation. Moreover, it is the first sing that I listen In my first party, and aslo because of that has converted in my prefer.

My 3rd oral presentation

Own observation:

As you know, it was my last presentation of the year, and I think that I improve a lot with the resources that I used. I used a powerpoint with the essential information, with a lot of pictures.
The powerpoint helps me to support my presentation, with the correct time.

It is true that I was very nervous, but I think that I was looking the audience the most of the time possible. Occasionally I read my notes, but only when I wanted know some small details.

The structure of my presentation it was the correct, and there were in order like the content, which I think that it was the correct and also someone learnt something.But talking about the language you are absolutelly right when you told me that my vocabulary sometimes it wasn't correct and that I 've said a lot of incorrect words, but I have to say, that my vocabulary are right and varied as well.

If you ask me, what it is my weak spot, I answer that my weak pot it was the pronunciation, as you know it is the aspect of the most difficult for me, think which you can prove when I talk in others language like Catalan.

Waste

Hello I’m Víctor Rosillo, and today I’m going to talk about waste, one of the forms of contamination of the world.

Waste is unwanted or inusable materials. Also we refer to to as rubbísh or trash.

Waste is directly linked to human development, both technologically and socially because thirty years ago the society didn’t produce as much waste as today. Per capita waste generation in developed countries has increased by 35% since 1980.
For this same reason it is directly linked to the zone where we live and the awarness of the governements. For example, as you know the kind and amount of waste that Africa could be produce in one year is completely different to the waste of Europe Occidental.


Waste is sometimes a subjective concept, because sometimes somepeople throw away what other people find usefull.
Usually, the rich people throw away thnigs that are in good state and the poor people take it.
For example:In the restaurants at the end of the day, the workers, obliged by their boss, have to throw the food away and when I was working last summer in a supermarket Montserrat, I also had to throw away the food of the bakery.
In my personal experience, recently in Ampuriabrava I have seen people in dirty clothes looking into the waste cointainers reusing things that we throw away.

There are many waste types:
municipal solid waste (MSW)
construction waste and demolition waste (C&D)
institutional waste, commercial waste, and industrial waste (IC&I)
medical waste (also known as clinical waste)
radioactive waste, and electronic waste
biodegradable waste

The waste produces three differents costs: environmental, social and economical costs.

Environmental costs
Waste can contaminate water, soil and air wich causes a lot of problems for humans, animals and the ecosistem.
Waste can attract insects which can cause diseases.
Social costs
Waste managements is a significant environmental topic because the need for waste treatment and disposal facilities is increasing in all of the world.

But the problem is, that where the governements want to build a disposal factory people organize a lot of demostrations. Because of that exists few solutions.
Economic costs
The economic costs of managing waste are high and often are paid by governements. As always we, the citizens have to pay taxes but we don’t do anything to avoid it.
One way to avoid it, is to start educating children at school.
Another way is that we in our houses imply the three Rs:

Reduce, re-use and recycle.

Reduce in my opinion is the easiest work, because the only thing that we have to do is try to not use more products, things that we need.
Re-use: Sometimes the simple fact of use 2 times a paper helps to re-use.
Recycle: I think that it is the most difficult work to do, but anyway it is easy. One form to recycle in house is to divide your bins into the four categories of: paper, glass, plastic and organic material.

After talking about all this I want to compare the two Spains. The Spain of today, and the Spain of our sons.
Today we can drink all the water that we want,but maybe our children won’t be able to drink more than 2 glasses of fresh water a day because of the contamination.
Now, we can walk along the beach, the street in a normal situation but perhaps some years later they will have to use specials suits and masks.
These example are extreme, but if we don’t use the solutions which I said before, it could happen one day.

My summer job :(

The summer is coming closer,six weeks are left until the end of the school year.
At the moment, I am very tired, but I have the intention of working in summer.
The problem is that I still don't have a job because we are in crisis, and I don't want to work in any kind of place, because I have studied all of the year very hard, and I don't want a hard work like last year.

As you know, last year I worked in a supermarket, Montserrat,in Ampuriabrava for a month and it wasn't bad, but it could have been better. Because of that I would like to find a job on a camping-side, or in a swimming pool, but I don't have a monitor's licence and I don't have enough time to take a course.

However, I want to go camping this summer with some friends, and if I work, I won't be able to, but if I don't work I won't have enough money to do a lot of things that I would like.

So,I have to think a lot, and I have to decide what is the best for me for this suumer. I hope I will come to the right decision.

The last month...

Summer, this is the word that appears in my brain when I think about the future. I am at the end of the 3rd term and aproximaly in one month I am going to enjoy the summer at its maximum and I'll be going to a party every day.
But now it's time to study and make the last effort to have the opportunity to study what I want in the future, which is engeneering. I am very tired, but to achieve important things, you have to work a lot, nothing is for free.I hope that everything will work out the best form possible and I will enjoy the summer holidays.

To achieve my goal, I have to improve my form of studying, work harder, etc. Because of that I have set up a timetable with all my shool-activities to try to consider all the things. But now, what is left is, realize all the things in the timetable like I have planed them to do.

My first impression is positive because I have achieved to do some things, but not everything.

The hope dies last, and I will achieve it!!!!!!!!!!!

The cloud of ash.

The eruption of a volcano in Iceland on the 15th of April,has altered the air traffic in Europe and has obliged the cancellation of 5000 flights in all the continent,emphasizing the UK, Norway, Denmark, Germany, France and Spain.

This is important because since then millions of passengers have been without any immediate chance to return to their homecountries and public transportation is collapsing.

Fortunately, I don't have to go to any place and so it doesn't affect me personally, but I worry about the climatic transformation of the planet in the last years. I hope that the problem will finish the best way possible and every thing will go back to normality.

However, as you know, the problem affects a lot of people, amongst them my cousin, who went to Norway last month, and he had planed to come home last week, but he can't leave the country.

Luckily, the airport told him that next week he will be able to fly home, and so will everybody else.

I hope that this situation won't happen again.
